I remember very well the first Oriol wine I drank; it was at Els Garrofers in Alella when Gonzalo Rivière was the owner, and I was fascinated.
Oriol's hallmarks are the interpretation of his native landscape, the Maresme, and the recovery of his varietals, also highlighting local varieties. He cultivates very old plots in this area and showcases them through small, carefully curated, and minimally modified productions. His base camp: Mas Pelliser in Llinars, 20 minutes from Barcelona.
